Concept & Execution
At the core of the La Pepino Series is a dialogue between rigidity and fluidity. The plywood base, with its architectural precision, serves as both a structural foundation and a design statement.
The deep green velvet upholstery introduces an element of warmth and tactile luxury, creating a striking juxtaposition against the natural grain of the plywood.
Art Direction & Visual designs
The visual approach embraces a naturalistic yet refined aesthetic, using light and shadow to highlight the chaise’s unique composition.
Set within an authentic interior, the imagery presents the chaise as an organic extension of the space.
Conclusion
The La Pepino Series challenges conventional seating by merging bold materials.
Through Ortiz’s vision, the piece takes on a new dimension, reinforcing the idea that furniture is more than utility.
